LOCATION:                          ERVAS Office(s) & Local Communities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:        No line management responsibilities

 

Main Duties:

The role of the Volunteer Fundraiser is to assist ERVAS and the Bridlington Community Hub with raising funds for the centre. The individual should maintain a positive and friendly image of our organisation by acting as the first line of contact to potential supporters/donors, visitors and customers in person, online, and via telephone.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • To represent ERVAS and the Bridlington Community Hub in a professional manner, demonstrating effective communication at all times.
  • To support the team in development and delivery of fundraising / seasonal events
  • To support the team with event feedback and event follow up, assist in the review on all feedback, supporting continuous improvement into future events in order to maximise income possibilities.
  • Selling lottery tickets at community events
  • Promoting lottery memberships and other fundraising methods by talking to the public about the benefit of a membership and giving out information.
  • Cash handling in accordance with the organisation policies
  • Confidential information handling in accordance with the organisation policies

 

General Job Tasks

  • Ensure that members of the ERVAS team are kept adequately informed of their work and that information is provided as requested
  • To participate in planning and team building activities within ERVAS and to contribute to the core operation and development of the organisation
  • Take part in supervision/appraisal meetings as agreed in line with ERVAS policy
  • Undertake in-service training as appropriate
  • Respect confidentiality of all information acquired through working at ERVAS within the framework of the confidentiality policy
  • To work in a self-servicing capacity
  • Adhere to all ERVAS’s internal policies and procedures
  • Undertake any other duties required by the project

 

NB: Please also note that the volunteer will participate in the general activities of the organisation.
